Here I was, thinking, “Well, if we are going to have a tyrannical, hateful leader, at least there’s the silver lining of my brokerage account growing from his pro corporate America policies.” I told myself that maybe his talk of tariffs are just stupid bluffs to gain leverage.
Then he started a full on fucking trade war with our closest allies. I don’t have the heart or stomach to read what his supporters will say to excuse his stupidity. They could spend a year complaining about egg prices, and Trump could then somehow issue an executive order that triples egg prices, and his supporters will say it’s a necessary evil to fix Biden’s mistakes.
How is half of our country in a cult? What the fuck is happening? Am I dreaming? Please, God, let my lamp start looking strange.
