The Grammy Awards show, billed as “music’s biggest night,” is taking place in Los Angeles.
Some of the early winners include Beyoncé, who won the Grammy for best country album (“Cowboy Carter”); Sabrina Carpenter, who won best pop vocal album (“Short n’ Sweet”); and Doechii, who won best rap album (“Alligator Bites Never Heal”). Chappell Roan won the Grammy for best new artist.
Beyoncé has the most nominations this year, with 11, and Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar and Charli XCX have seven each. All four are up for album of the year.
Comedian Trevor Noah is hosting the event for the fifth straight year. This year’s telecast will also focus on raising funds to support relief efforts and aid for music professionals who were impacted by the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles County.
