1. Ho Chi Minh was initially very pro USA and asked Truman for recognition of Vietnamese independence from French colonialism at the League of Nations. The US told him to fuck off. We know how that went.

   Osama Bin Laden and the Mujahedeen were funded by the CIA and we’re very pro USA while fighting Russia. Later he offered to fight Saddam Hussein on behalf of the USA. The US told him to fuck off. And then claimed Al Quida was allied with Saddam to justify bombing them both. We know how that went.

   The Kurds were the most effective ally of the USA in Syria, doing a lot of the frontline fighting against IS and to capture Mosul. All they wanted was for the US to recognise their independence. Trump told them to fuck off in his first term. Hmmm… I’ve heard this one before somewhere.

   I’m not saying they are the good guys in this, but its the kind of problem that needs solving, at an international level, or it becomes a bigger problem in the future.
