  1. I believe the bigoted bitch when she states this.

  2. I bet this bombshell news will be top of his morning briefing

  3. Yeah, she’s a politician. She will say what is most beneficial at any given time.

What did Mandleson say? What did Lammy say? I think Trudeau was another one.

Spineless slimey bastards to a man.

  4. Being mental isn’t common ground when the other person is the American president.

  5. Politicians eager to get into bed with fascists and wanna be dictators to further their own career are the absolute worst

  6. Common ground with a megalomaniac criminal rapist?
    Scary shit!

  7. This is the second or third time someone from Alba has made alt-right noises. I think they might be trying to convince Trump, Musk etc. that Alba is the local far-right party to back, in the same way that Reform (UK, mainly England) and AFD (Germany) have been trying to court these sources of funding.

  8. Yep, and hopefully that gets her to lose. Then again, Scotland is not immune to nutbags

  9. Alba and Reform are the [5th column](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fifth_column), and I don’t use that term lightly. These polls projecting them both with a significant presence in the Scottish Parliament is deeply concerning.

Other parties in Scotland – the SNP, Labour, the Greens, Lib Dems and Tories – need to have a serious conversation about a democratic firewall similar to in Germany with the AfD.

  10. Right serious question, which wan is Ash Regan? Is she the religious nutter who wanted to be FM or the other wan?

  11. If one accepts that in Scotland the two political axis are Nationalist/unionist and right/left then there is a glaring hole in the current parliament where the Rightwing/nationalist party should be.

It’s how we end up with incongruence like having Kate Forbes as DFM in the same party as Mhairi Black.

Not entirely surprised that Alba are positioning to try and fill that vacuum.

  12. She doesn’t half talk a power of shite

I expect Alba to go the way of UKIP come 2027

  13. We are never going to get Independence if the Indy parties constantly attach themselves to divisive political movements. I know that can be subjective to progressive policies. I wish they would just focus on Indy and that message. know am going to get a whole throng of rationale telling me why am wrong coming my way now.

  14. Quote from article:

She was also asked who she would have voted for had she had a vote: “I certainly have some common ground with [Trump](https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/politics/i-brought-down-sturgeon-murrell-34591184) – and I never thought I would say this – on the sex issue in terms of women versus men. So I certainly have common ground with him on that.

“I felt that the other side were seriously getting themselves into trouble, they were not resonating with the public on that issue. This is an important issue to people. They want to feel that women and girls can be safe in their [single sex spaces](https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/politics/i-brought-down-sturgeon-murrell-34591184), that women’s sports are for women. I think that was a key issue”

    Here are some related statistics:
“In aggregate, Scottish people are also more trans-sceptical than English people, meaning that a higher proportion of them disagree and disagree strongly with the statements we put in front of them.”

  15. Feminism Appropriating Radical Transphobe is so much more accurate than TERF

  16. She’s an utter fauxmanists, a right leaning transphobic shill. I’m not surprised at all she’d chuck woman’s rights under a bus and praise their new Dear Leader.

  17. What’s the common ground? Is she a child rapist too?
