Climate activists deflate SUV tyres in wealthy London neighbourhoods

  1. The only thing this will achieve is that sooner or later one of them will get absolutely battered and end up on a viral video and then they will stop

  2. If they really want to make a difference they should target large polluting companies not individuals that make insignificant difference.

Greatest PR move oil companies did was try pass responsibility for the environment to every day folks to do their part. Industry makes up the vast majority of pollution.

Best way to do that is to put pressure on government for environmental legislation on said companies.

Absolute jokers successfully directed at the wrong targets.

EDIT: Here’s a nice summary of what I’m trying to say if anyone is interested

  3. Climate change “activists” doing something that depletes public goodwill towards them, but never actually inconveniencing policy makers or known shareholders. Seems like a set up.

  4. This isn’t the kind of activism that helps anyone. People just think you’re dickheads for pissing around with other peoples property.

  5. I had mine done by “activists” too. Just a shame it was during a nasty snow storm, and as I’m part of a 4×4 response group, couldn’t get out to give nurses and doctors lifts to the hospital at 4am, or deliver essentials to local pensioners, or pull cars out of ditches… Ended up in the local news (mine wasn’t the only one targeted), and it only made them look like fools.

  6. Hmm, the best thing to do is to start a petition for ved tax to have a vehicle weight multiplier. Heavy the vehicle the more tax you pay, as most these SUV gave big engines it’ll probably price them off the road

  7. This is just a bunch of bourgie f-wits who fail to realise that the bangladeshi shanty town dwellers and the Chelsea tractor driers have more in common. Than the leaders who spend decades virtue signaling and making us pay 50p for a carrier bag whilst tescos sell spinach for £13 quid a kilo on 200 gram portions all in plastic wrapping.

Turning on fellow citizens on one another, is classic divide and rule. wasting tiime climing on tube trains or stoppng traffic is just goingto futher divide the people.

The focus of these campaigns should rest solely on governments and the likes of coke big oil big pharma big agro and the military industrial complex.

  8. Which means they’ll need to get a mobile tyre guy out to either reinflate the tyre… Or replace if it was damaged.

Seems like their actions just cause more climate issues. Like sitting in traffic and having cars create more emissions than necessary. 🤔

  9. Good. A bloody blight on the roads driven by anxious drivers who can’t handle the size of them and they can’t even take what a proper SUV was suppose to be used for

  10. Good.

Ridiculous fucking things for the most part.

Should be treated the same way we treat firearms – if you want one, you need a good reason and somewhere (private) to store it.

  11. Absolutely what should be happening. Literally the bare minimum of resistance against the catastrophic climate breakdown we are facing.

  12. So they might end up causing a car crash when someone starts to drive one of these without realising they have under inflated tyres? Or the owners will get the electric pump out and pump the tyres back up, then put foot down a bit as they are late for the school run or work…. Yeah well done climate saved.

  13. Yeah going after middle class individuals is really going to do anything other than lose this battle. I agree with their pov but these tactics are as dumb as when climate change people decided to stop the commuter trains
