He can’t even create a Labour party Labour members are proud of
I think Labour may well be making a mistake by attacking the SNP and Scottish independence in this way. Progressive and pro EU voters in Scotland currently have little reason to vote for Labour over the SNP unless Labour can really offer a more radical programme. If Labour and the SNP were in a progressive alliance this would be far more productive and would minimise the amount of vote splitting in Scottish constituencies. Whilst this may be an unpopular opinion but I think Labour need to take a more neutral position on Scottish independence due to the fact that a large proportion of their voter base are simply not that opposed to it. Welsh Labour have actually taken this approach to Welsh independence and this actually seems to be working in their favour.
This from the party that has put forward an ex-member of the Orange Order as a candidate in Scotland.
No just some lackey either, but **world leader**.
JFC.
I can’t see how trying to out-staunch the Tories is going to do Labour any favours.
How is he going to do that if he’ll never be prime minister?
Didn’t you say a while ago that you have no plans to rejoin the EU. then how the fuck are you planning to make Scottish people proud
Maybe he’ll get that opportunity if we don’t vote for indy next year.
I don’t think he wil have the chance to.
Starmer hasn’t got the gravitas for the global stage
How about creating a UK British people are proud of <?
Hasn’t Starmer actively voted for triggering Article 50 to start the brexit process?
The kind of Scots who desperately want independence cannot be pleased. They don’t base their opinions on clear goals, but on nationalist rhetoric, so it’s physically impossible for the British government to dissuade them.
