  1. Well that’s not good but at least the GB Energy chair (Juergen Maier) is going to be based out of Aberdeen.

  2. And that’s even IF the Tories (or reform) don’t come to power then immediately close it down and sell off whatever assets it had to the private sector.

  3. Will be max of 25 jobs. No way 1,000 that’s just a lie

  4. Great let’s Bankrupt the UK while chasing 1000 jobs.

  5. This scheme gets smaller and more pathetic every time it hits the Press.

There was supposed to be a £300 saving in people’s energy bills as well – that will be the next thing to get scaled back.

  6. Oh well. Maybe I’ll be retired by then. That or I died in the climate wars of 2040.

  7. Absolutely lying through their teeth about job creation to justify pylons, bess and onshore / offshore wind going up every where

  8. It’s almost as if stuff takes time? Yet many of the public seems to think this stuff happens in months.

They’d have been up in arms in the 19th century when they saw how long railroads take to build.

  9. That pretty staggering. Energy is such an obvious win for an economy, investing to create more, and cheaper is just a no brainier. The indecision on energy since the invasion of Ukraine is galling.
