Sad that we have so many terrible ‘entitled’ drivers on the roads now.

I’m absolutely astounded that so many happened to be caught for speeding, it’s nearly as if our government decided last weekend to introduce reduced speed limits without bothering to ensure all new signage was erected to clearly advise where limits had changed and just told everyone to be sure they are aware what roads will now have a lower speed limit as you will be prosecuted even if the signs in the road display the wrong limit. I for one have spent the last two weeks familiarising myself with every highway and byway within a 50km radius just to ensure I was aware of what roads we decided to lower the limit on
Speed limits with better cameras and more enforcement. It’s not fucking rocket science.
When I was younger I attended the launch of the RSA’s crashed lives campaign. Met some families of those who died. It had a profound impact on me. Something similar could be adapted for secondary schools and made mandatory.
Do you know when the guards are hiding behind a wall? Why is this a thing here you’re meant to trust the guards not expect them to be sneaky ffs. Also don’t speed people.
More garda presence on the road. And stop warning people about speed vans. Had some serious eejit acting the maggot behind me one day, and several people flashed coming towards us..guy straightened up, hung back from me like an angel, then passed the speed van and resumed acting like a cunt !! Passed me out on the dodgiest curve in the road..good riddance
Gardaí: We’re going to be out in force catching speeders.
Speeders: Vroom vroom.
Passed loads of cyclists today on road without helmets. Start with them
Ah yes, the low hanging fruit.
Doing 130 on 120 is OK if you are at least decent driver. Motorways are designed for 140. Heck, autobahn in Germany has no hard limits.
So is doing 105 on MOST 100 km / h nationals (those with multi lanes and passing lanes).
So is 85 on 80 that should be 100 km / h (wide straight roads)
Unless we are talking about lack of experience / phone use / bending narrow roads at night that should be 60 / etc
Why do we keep parroting this instead of driving under influence, phone use, illegal overtakes, red light running, etc?
