Argent LNG has chosen Baker Hughes as the technology provider for its proposed liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility in Port Fourchon, Louisiana, US.

The project will utilise Baker Hughes’ liquefaction solutions, power generation equipment and gas compression systems to deliver approximately 24 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of LNG. The modules are prefabricated and tested at Baker Hughes’ facilities.

Additionally, iCenter digital solutions powered by Cordant will be integrated to maximise availability, reliability and operational efficiency.

Baker Hughes will supply its NMBL modularised LNG solution, featuring the efficient LM9000 gas turbine, to ensure scalable and reliable LNG production.

As per the terms, Baker Hughes will also provide multi-year services to support terminal operations.

Phase one construction is planned to commence in 2026, with commercial operations anticipated by 2030.

Phase two will expand the capacity of the facility and is currently under planning including resource reporting, securing FERC approvals, formalising gas supply agreements and achieving financial close.

Baker Hughes expects related work orders to this agreement as the project advances and reaches its final investment decision.
