The Super Bowl is one of the biggest sporting events of the year, and for American football fans in Austria, it’s a late-night spectacle worth watching.
Super Bowl LIX will be held from Sunday, February 9th, into Monday, February 10th, 2025. The kickoff will be at 12:30 a.m. Austrian time.
This year’s final, held at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, will see the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles in a rematch of the 2023 Super Bowl.
In addition to the on-field action, fans can look forward to a halftime show featuring Kendrick Lamar with SZA as a special guest.
The entire event is expected to last around four hours, including commercial breaks, halftime performances, and possible overtime.
So where can you watch it? Whether you prefer to stay home or join other fans at a bar or event, here’s how to catch the Super Bowl 2025 in Austria.

How to watch the Super Bowl on TV or online
For many years, Austrian football fans tuned in to PULS 4 for live coverage, but since 2024, broadcasting rights have changed. This year, you can watch the Super Bowl live on the German private broadcaster RTL.
If you prefer to stream the game, there are two main options:
RTL+: The game will be available on the streaming service RTL+ from 11:15 pm, with pre-game coverage before kickoff. A free 30-day trial is available for new users, after which a monthly subscription costs €6.99 (or €69.99 annually).
DAZN: Sports streaming provider DAZN will also broadcast the Super Bowl live from 11:30 pm, but access requires the additional “NFL Game Pass”, which costs €0.99 on top of the €29.99 monthly DAZN subscription.
For those who want a one-time streaming option, DAZN allows users to purchase the NFL Game Pass separately for €0.99, making it the cheapest way to watch the game without a full subscription.
