I keep expecting (wanting?) to wake up every morning to realize it’s all been a weird dream. Nothing makes sense, and it’s all too much to even fathom.
It wouldn’t be believable as fiction.
The thing that really irks me is that a lot of people voted for him to “piss off the liberals” .. like fuck them for trying to get people affordable healthcare, housing and food.

I was saying for years that his second term could end up with us in a second civil war. When he got elected I was trying to be pragmatic and realistic. Nope, I was right the first time. When the day comes that we reach the other side of this, all I know is there will be a lot of pieces to pick up in what remains of America.
Trump supporters will stop taking insulin and pay $1000 for eggs if it causes one liberal to cry.
Tbh this is about the caliber of what I was expecting.
Tyrants don’t know boundaries. The same way the nations of Europe believed Hitler would know his own weaknesses and boundaries. That’s how our people thought and still think.
Until people of real power recognize that true nature of the two men in power (Trump and Elon) then nothing will change and may, even worse, become a fourth reich. It’s that bad.
I expected nuclear Armageddon by now. It’s still pretty bad though.
