An average audience of just over 205,000 viewers watched the final of the Slovenian Eurovision selection, EMA 2025.

RTVSLO has reported that an average audience of 206,500 viewers watched the final of EMA 2025 live on TV SLO 1, the show had an average audience share of 24%. Overall across the broadcast, 514,000 viewers watched at least 1 minute, with a peak audience of 267,900 viewers.

The show outperformed its timeslot for RTVSLO across an number of audience ranges. The final of EMA 2025 brought in an audience of 15 to 34 year olds, seven times that normally recorded for the broadcaster during January.

Overall however the number of viewers for EMA has fallen compared to when the last edition was held in 2022. Audience share has decreased by 3 percentage points, while the number of viewers decreased by 28,300.

Klemen will represent Slovenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 with “How much time do we have left?”. He won the superfinal of EMA receiving nearly 70% of the televotes cast by the Slovenian public. He will perform his entry in the first half of the first semifinal, on May 13.

Slovenia was one of three countries to join the Eurovision Song Contest in 1993. The country qualified through a specially organised selection round called “Kvalifikacija za Millstreet” which was hosted in Slovenia, seven countries competed for three spots in Eurovision 1993. The country has participated in 22 editions of the Eurovision Song Contest. Their best result came in 1995 when Darja Švajger finished 7th scoring a total of 84 points. She is closely followed by Nuša Derenda who finished 7th in the 2001 contest with 70 points.
