Trump acting like he won some big victory with Mexico, but they did the exact same thing for Biden 3 years ago. So this entire trade war is for nothing.

  4. Same with Canada. They announced the $1.3 billion for border updates on December 17th for Biden.

  10. His big victory is that the American people; unfortunately, are going to forget about this for an entire month, until February 28th when news articles will pop up discussing the tariffs again…because they’re only paused.

    Everyone is talking today like the tariffs have been taken off of the table, when in reality, this entire weekend and beginning of the week is all playing out far too well for Trump.

    The public will have absorbed much of the emotional shock of the tariffs and will be much milder in their push back in 3 weeks; an eternity in the modern news cycle. Canadians and Mexicans will still [rightfully] pissed at us and Trumpers will claim that Canada and Mexico are screwing us.

    >**Trudeau to Trump:** “Sure, we can chat again in 30 days, but we are going ahead with our tariffs starting NOW. And by the way, did I mention that you should GO Fuck Yourself?”

  12. It says in this snippet “southern border” and in the news articles they are sending troops to the “northern border”. Another thing is that this is a 1 month stay on the tariffs and if trump is looking to get different things he has them over a barrel obviously or they wouldnt have caved. Also they didnt actually do anything during bidens term, so I there is more teeth behind adding more to the northern border.
