My personal opinion is that
The invasion of Iraq was good because saddam was a twat who had attacked Iran used chemical weapons on civilian targets and invaded Kuwait and honestly we should of deposed him in ’91
But the mismanagement by britian and the US ruined what could of been a good thing and turned it into a nightmare
One fine example is making every person in Iraqs pre invasion army unemployed making 375,000 fighting men jobless and pushing them into the army’s of the terrorists especially as they don’t seem to of gotten anything but severance pay
Imagine suddenly nearly 2% of the population being made jobless especially in a deeply religious society where the majority of workers are men so its probably nearer 8% after all women and children
Tldr
My opinion Is the invasion was long overdue but mismanagement afterwards is what ruined it
Based on whether Iraq has nukes or not, either:
Iraq does not have nukes, and the whole thing was a waste of time.
Iraq does have nukes, and is now provoked into using them as a last ditch attempt to defend itself.
