Princess Eugenie is the youngest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York, and granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II and the late Duke of Edinburgh. She and Jack met at the royal-approved Swiss ski resort of Verbier in 2010 when she was 20 and he was 24. The princess later revealed that ‘sparks’ flew from the beginning of their relationship.

However, almost a decade passed before Jack Brooksbank proposed. News of the engagement was shared by the Royal Family in January 2018. At the time, the couple were enjoying a flourishing friendship with Prince Harry and his then-fiancée, Meghan Markle. The couples remain close and Princess Eugenie featured briefly in the Sussexes’ Netflix series, Harry & Meghan.

Eugenie and Jack will celebrate six years of marriage this October. They exchanged vows in a moving ceremony at St George’s Chapel in Windsor – just a few months after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex married at the same venue. The princess wore a custom-made Peter Pilotto dress, which featured backless detail to show off her scoliosis scars. She also wore the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik Tiara, which she borrowed from her late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.
