Reddit is so far out of step on public opinion on this stuff because the algorithm and moderation here just bombards the average user with a constant stream of ultra-left content; I fully expect to see comments on this site insisting Streeting is giving into “the far right” for saying this (when ofc he won’t do anything about it because this is all rhetoric to try and get votes back off Reform)

    Flagging up “anti-whiteness” isn’t an attack on DEI, a core concept of DEI is inclusion so calling out a stance/policy singling out a group is completely inline with the aim of DEI. What steering is doing is calling out people who are pushing a divisive policy and claiming it’s done for DEI – which is very different
