I just made an ad on tutti.ch for a jacket and literally not only 20 minutes after got this message. I‘m always a bit weary of people asking to message them on whatsapp so idk if this common or a scam? (I don‘t use tutti that often)

I mean in my head if it‘s legit then obviously I‘d have them transfer the money first before I send the item but could anything go wrong that I‘m not seeing rn?

    if not, then bets are it’s a scam.

    You can also tell them you’ll continue the conversation on tutti as you don’t want to use whatsapp.

    demand a payment method you’re comfortable with, such as twint.

    Ask them for the address they want it shipped to, and compare the name on the address with the one they greeted you with.

    wait a day or two before shipping to see if the payment sticks if you want to be extra sure.

    Personally, I only sell things in person via tutti. I can’t be bothered with dealing with scammers anymore. You either show up in person with cash or you’re not getting the item.
