How fucking embarrassing.

  3. If they had it their way, a majority of them would literally vote against their best interests for a political party that hates their guts.

  4. My american gay white man friend who is gay married to a DACA recipient got real mad when I called him out on being maga. I’m absolutely not surprised by this.

  5. And there I was thinking only Americans could shoot themselves in the foot, but apparently German gays also like to vote for the people who despise them

  6. misinformation and propaganda is going to be the planets downfall

  7. I would argue that people who use gay dating apps – and especially answer polls on a dating app – are not a representive part of the gay community. Nevertheless, it is crazy how many people still vote against their own interests.

  8. Unpopular opinion.. maybe some extreme part of the lbtq+ movement is too extreme for some homosexuals, tbh most of refugees are orthodox or conservative Muslims… easy catch for fears. Real or unreal. Feelings are difficult to discuss.

  9. You know on second thought im not entirely surprised. Muslims absolutely hate gay people more than they hate any other group and gay people hate muslims back because theyre trying to tell them how they are supposed to live. I kinda get it.

  10. Honestly I could see why gay people might be amongst the first to experience hate and violence from those of less tolerant religions and cultures, and thus step by step radicalise.

Getting gay people to vote for Nazis in great numbers was not something I expected seeing. Hate really is a strong unifier huh?

  11. There is also an increasing trend with the younger age groups. I just need to ask, what kind of fucked up parenting has been happening in the past 20 or 30 years???

  12. don’t let your hatred for me get in the way of your own liberty.

  13. Not quite right. It doesn’t reveal how gay men plan to vote. It reveals how gay men who are members of this dating app plan to vote.

Men who use dating apps might be more conservative. Single men might be more conservative. Men using apps are younger, and the AfD is a hit with young people.
Plus probably a lot more sources of bias. Please don’t take any surveys as plain truth.

  14. Yeah, I wonder why…

Half the Muslims in the UK think that homosexuality should be illegal (and I would say that number is even higher in Germany).

Just a few weeks ago the president of the Berlin Police said that when going through some parts of the city Jews and lgbt people should not do anything that could help identify them as such (ie, Jews should not wear the kippah or a necklace with the star of David, and gays should not kiss or hold hands). She didn’t name it, but everyone knows that she is referring to Neukölln.

If half the people in a particular group think that you shouldn’t even exist or that you are somehow illegal, and when 80 years after the defeat of the nazis the government tell you that you should not go to some parts of the capital because of that particular group of people, I’m not surprised that so many lgbt people support a party led by a lesbian that opposes said group people.

I agree that the AfD is fucking terrible for Germany, but for the lgbt community there are things that are even worse…

  15. Are German gay men really that worried that immigration from conservative Islamic countries is a threat to them? Are there any real signs that hate crimes against gay people were increasing and the perpetrators were immigrants. I know the Jewish population is at the moment in a difficult situation in many European countries because of the threat of militant islamism. This is real existential threat to European Jews but can it really be said that LGBT people were equally threatened?

  16. A third of german gays could pay a visit to Auschwitz in 1944 to learn a few things…

  17. hab mal den [Mandatsrechner.de](http://Mandatsrechner.de) Benutzt

Sitzverteilung nach der Umfrage wäre wie folgende

    Union 131,
    SPD 93
    Grüne 149
    Linke 49
    AfD 208

    Absolulte Mehrheit 316 Sitz

    Koaltionsmöglichkeiten

    SPD + Grüne + Linke = 291 (reicht nicht)

    Grüne + Union = 280 (reicht nicht)

    Grüne + Union + SPD = 373 (reicht)

    AfD + Union = 339 (reicht)

  18. Why the Frick are people on Dating apps motivated to give their opinion on a party. I totally get that gathering data is important to understand who votes whom but 60k using an app (assuming it’s an in-app popup rather than an actual build in feature?)

I likely know to little about this app.

I don’t understand.. with no rational mind would a gay person vote for a far right. That doesn’t make sense. This data seems a bit eye brown raising eh?

If I’d put my aluminum foil hat on I’d say this seems like propaganda haha. But then again I’ll always be a man of science and numbers. I just rarely trust random sources based on a picture.

    Anybody has an actual source?

“Romeo” survey: More support for the right-wing extremist AfD than for any other party – queer.de https://search.app/T9JqAcowXZU4Xkax6

  19. Die gays die afd wählen sind miese verräterische Ratten, nichts anderes.

  20. I mean, being gay doesnt exclude you from making bad decisions. There are enough straight people who would be off worse financially but still support parties that would cut their financial aid. Hell, there are even foreigners voting afd because they believe its not about them.

My only cope would be fake/predatory accounts

  21. As a dyke, I should be allowed to suplex these dumbasses

  22. Not only do I call bullshit on this poll and its non-existent methodology, I actively question why Romeo would conduct and release a poll this nonsensical in the first place. By their own admission, they have no way of checking whether this poll is even remotely representative of their own user base, let alone gay men in Germany as a whole.

In conclusion, this is a shitty PR stunt by a dating app trying to gain relevance, and an extraordinarily irresponsible one at that, given that it backs up the narratives of the AfD around queer people and migrants, despite having no reliable data to support it.
