Basically me and the lads are getting together this Paddy’s day to watch some fun movies instead of going out. We’re looking for some “so bad they’re good” types of films like [The Room](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tfMTHIwTUXA&ab_channel=PoptartedNintendo), [Birdemic](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jE5dJDgZ644&ab_channel=BirdemicShockTerror), or anything by [Neil Breen](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-fYWAwc8Q0&t=1s&ab_channel=GreenBoots_).

I remember this subreddit did a watchthrough of [Moving Target](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-00RkuIOBY&ab_channel=RogerCorman%5BOfficialYouTubePage%5D) last year which was great [and this fan art was made](https://old.reddit.com/r/ireland/comments/kwp4n3/moving_target_fanmade_poster_thanks_to_all/). Does anyone know of any other Irish based films that are fun to watch with a few drinks, similar to the one I mentioned?

I’ve managed to get [Ek Tha Tiger](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7QF7z76ehyo&ab_channel=YRF) which is a Bollywood action film with a scene in Ireland, we’re looking forward to watching that.

Any fun suggestions?

  1. Here’s a fun suggestion, lad. Go to the pub and have a pint, its St. Paddy’s Day. The movies can wait until you and your friends have no dates on the next years worth of free Friday and Saturday nights. Enjoy!

  2. Might be more of a Halloween suggestion, but “Boy Eats Girl” starring Samantha Mumba is a fun car crash of a film.

  3. Sharknado, zombeavers, 3 headed shark attack, Old, Daisy Derkins Vs The bloodthirsty beast of Barren pines. Evil dead the remake. Splinter, sharktopus.

  4. For the week that’s in it “Between the canals”.

Fancy seeing Jennifer Anistons first big part ? The Leprechaun the dude even has his own little tricycle definitely fits into the so bad it’s good category.

  5. Tucker & Dale vs evil

    Black sheep

    All the Tremor movies

    Cabin in the Woods

None of these are Irish but they’re very fun to watch with friends.

Edit: If you haven’t already, you absolutely need to watch Kung Fury.

  6. These are good films that I’ll be watching on paddy’s day from the 🇺🇸 : The Snapper, The Van, Intermission, Breakfast on Pluto, Brooklyn

  7. According to many film enthusiasts, the worst movie ever made was Ed Wood’s “Plan 9 From Outer Space”.

The film was so bad, yet the producer so likeable and sympathetic, that Johnny Depp made a film about it entitled “Ed Wood” in 1994.

  8. Watched M Night Shyamalan’s ‘Old’ the night before last. Absolute shite. Not the “so bad it’s good” bad, but the “so bad it shoots right on through the ‘it’s good’, to *really* bad”. On reflection this one might be too shite for your needs.
