Princess Kate has delighted royal fans on Tuesday after she stepped off a school bus in London to visit the National Portrait Gallery.
The Princess of Wales, 43, was accompanied by a small number of schoolchildren and their teachers as they visited the gallery together to have a go at a new interactive trail aimed at helping children under five develop their social and emotional skills.
The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood’s new project is based on the new Shaping Us Framework announced earlier this week, which outlines 30 social and emotional skills that are crucial to living a healthy, happy life at all ages.
While many royal fans were quick to compliment the princess’ outfit and mode of transport, others were keen to express their opinion on the princess and what job they think she would have been great at if she hadn’t become a member of the Royal Family.
According to royal fans, the princess and mum-of-three would have made a good school teacher if she hadn’t married Prince William, who is currently first-in-line to the throne.
On X, one fan wrote: “I’ve always thought that if she hadn’t met our future King, she could have been a prep or primary school teacher. She’s the perfect advocate for our youngest children.”
A second said: “The Princess of Wales fits right in like a schoolteacher. She’s definitely the children’s princess.”
Another commented: “Princess Catherine would have made a great primary school teacher.”
A fourth fan added: “She would have made an amazing teacher, she’s a natural with them.”
While Kate did have jobs before marrying Prince William, none of these involved a classroom.
Before university, the princess worked briefly as a deckhand at the Ocean Village Marina in Southampton before moving to Scotland to study.
The princess then continued to work during her university days and did a bit of waitressing, which she said she was “terrible” at.
After this, Kate took on a role as an accessory buyer for high street brand Jigsaw around the end of 2006, as reported by the Daily Mail.
Her final non-royal job then saw the princess work for her parents’ business Party Pieces, where she reportedly helped with the website and photography.
Her stint working for her parents eventually came to an end months before her 2011 wedding to Prince William, which has seen Kate work as a full-time senior royal ever since.
