For some context.
All of Vietnam for the US was 58k (47k combat), 303k Wounded. Over 13 years.
Considering what this war started at how it is going this does show that Ukraine does care about their people compared to the orcs.
Unfortunately I suspect it’s much higher than that. I hope it isn’t, but it seems likely. Ukraine has suffered immensely. I hope Putin dies soon and the war ends with new Russian leadership pulling out or losing the war.
It is fascinatingly odd that the numbers are being given publicly right now. These have been tightly guarded, or at least the public mentions have been extremely rare.
This, plus other stories each saying that Trump, Putin, and Zelenskyy are open to talking to each other, makes me wonder if this war is at an inflection point of some sort. Not suggesting it’s going to be over, but that maybe the “absolutely no negotiations” period is over and we’re moving into some new phase?
So sad and utterly unnecessary but for Putin… Ukraine and Zelensky versus the corrupt selfish Putin regime. The West must support the brave Ukrainian people!
Unfortunately, a large part of the MIA soldiers will likely also be killed in action. So the number of Ukrainian losses will be higher than stated here.
Absolutely insane that we’re talking about over a million!!!! casualties for Russia though. There are like what, 75 million men in Russia? Of which 50 million are between the age of 18 and 65? (Give or take)
That’s 2% of the working population gone. For nothing. Not to mention the fact that for over half of those, rather than adding to the economy they will only be taking from it due to long lasting injury’s. That country is so fucked.

That is over 45000 too many, this war should have never happened, I hope Putin and the kremlin one day pays for this crime.
Way too much of course but looking at the Russian numbers it’s just showing how tactics, better weapons (even though there should be way more) and the simple difference in giving a fuck about life makes such a difference.
This number is probably bs because it may or may not include MIA or members of paramilitary forces, e.g. police battalions, NGU etc.
Most likely he discusses confirmed KIAs, meaning that the bodies were recovered and identified
