Labas everyone! I am an erasmus student in Vilnius and recently i bought a ticket to see a movie in [Skalvija](https://skalvija.lt/) which was supposed to have english subtitles. The movie as part of the night of classics that happens every month in this cinema and it will be the same in November: [Le Charme Discret De La Bourgeoisie](https://skalvija.lt/filmas/kuklus-burzuazijos-zavesys/?show=205627). As you can see in the link above, it has the indication that it will have english subtitles.

When i got there and the film started it didn’t have english subtitles, he audio was french and the subtitles were Lithuanian. Therefore, I and another spectator left the room and went to talk to the employee in the box office that told us that she couldn’t do nothing. We obviously didn’t take that for an answer and she gave us a voucher to another movie this month, always arguing that she wouldn’t give us our money back.

My question is: Since Skalvija announced the movie with english subtitles and didn’t do it, isn’t she obligated by law to refund us? One thing is buying a ticket and regretting, another is buying a ticket for one thing, losing time and money going, and getting another thing. Thank you for your help!

TL;DR: Cinema announced english subtitled movie and screened it with only Lithuanian subtitles. They refuse to refund me. Is this legal?

  1. Maybe someone will correct me but tickets wise, you are unlikely to get refund unless it’s fault of the event organizer (movies count too).
