Meghan Markle has delighted fans in a new video posted to social media in which they think she’s deliberately looked to shut down divorce rumours.

The Duchess of Sussex, 43, took to Instagram on Tuesday to talk about a sweet gesture she made to help a girl who had lost her Billie Eilish concert T-shirts in the Californian wildfires.

Meghan revealed how with the help of Billie Eilish, Maroon 5 star Adam Levine and his wife Behati Prinsloo, she had managed to replace the items the teenager had lost in the disaster.

While many praised the Duchess for her kind act, fans of the former Suits actress also thought Meghan had sent a clear four-word message to trolls.

She used the phrase “my husband and I” when explaining how they met the girl and her mum in Altadena when being shown some of the homes that had been turned to ashes.

This comes after rumours spread that the couple, who quit life as senior royals in 2020 and moved to Montecito, California, were on the road to splitting up.

The speculation seemed to come from reports that Meghan had held talks with an unnamed publishing house to see if they would be interested in a post-divorce book.

Fans of Meghan were quick to take to X, formerly known as Twitter, to praise the duchess for making her relationship status with Harry very clear.

One fan said: “I just know that ‘my husband and I’ is eating away at you trolls and haters.”

Another wrote: “You nailed it sis, my husband and I are the best words ever.”

A third commented: “Loved that! And look at that ring!”

Meghan’s subtle mention of her marriage comes just months after Prince Harry mocked divorce rumours.

The duke said at the 2024 New York Times DealBook Summit in December: “Apparently we’ve bought or moved house 10, 12 times. We’ve apparently divorced maybe 10, 12 times as well. So it’s just like, what?”

The pair also further quashed rumours after they put on a united front just last month as they stepped out together to volunteer at an evacuation site during the height of the Californian wildfires.
