Reddit community banned as user spat with Musk intensifies

1. Whilst all of this is happening, China is laughing its ass off and putting its head down and continuing to look inwards to make the life of its 1.4 billion citizens better. It’s kind of interesting to see the United States circling the drain so aggressively.

2. Some of those subs are absolutely unhinged I am pretty sure calling for violence is against site wide rules. For a while reddit mods have ignored them but now that trump is in office all of these subs violent rethoric has intensified . 

3. How many times has reddit had to enforce it’s own rules due to negative media attention? So many comments were calling for people to get “Luigied” over the last few weeks and nothing was done, but now there is a conspicuous lack of any content relating to that individual. Strange..

4. The community in question, as well as a lot of other communities who are on fire about this, really, truly violate both Reddit TOS and their own rules. 

   But, unlike moderate and conservative communities, they seem to  always get a pass, or a slap on the wrist at worst, for things that would get others permabanned – blatant racism, brigading, death threats…

   I really hope lawsuits will be a wakeup call for reddit admins to stop blatant favouritism, dismantle powermods clique and start treating their own TOS seriously.

5. The idea that a multi-billionaire (that’s also somehow in the US Govt) is having a “spat” with online forum posters is hilarious to me.

   Imagine Bill Gates and teenage kids hurling insults at each other on the Halo forums. topfknkek

8. This is like when the news blew up about that person “taking down” kiwifarms. Which was back up like the next day or something.

   But, even funnier because I could 100% see Musk paying a bot farm to flood the sub with tos breaking comments.

9. I always hated the American hegemony over the world but now that it’s collapsing I don’t feel happy for some reason, it’s not as satisfying as I thought it would be
