Himalaya mountains will serve as a great and cheap final disposal.
Always strive for energy independence and source variety. Germany’s virtue signaling nonsense has cost them a lot.
Redditers would nuclear energy fuck them in the ass if possible
Comparing a population of 84 million to a population of 1.14 billion… Seems like a stretch. This isn’t an economics post. It’s a nuclear fan boi sh!t post.
Always baffled me they got rid of nuclear energy and continue to move away from it. It’s cheap, reliable, and the amount of incidents is extremely low compared to how many are out there. DTE in Michigan is pushing solar panels. Fine and all, but energy rates keep soaring because of the costs to run them, supposedly, and maintain them. Green energy seems to cost more, then Why are we pushing forward with green solutions?
Given that China has 15 times as many people as Germany, that just shows how little nuclear power China truly uses.
I know France was easily sourcing their uranium from Niger. That’s why they didn’t give up on nuclear energy. I don’t know about China, but what about Germany? Where would they get their uranium from?
An author and artist is doing a challenge right now in Germany. There is one very populist politician who was demanding the end of nuclear right after Fukushima and now he is fiercely pro nuclear. At the same time he is against having nuclear in his state and also he is against his state being considered for the nuclear waste storage site (a commission of experts is right now analyzing where would be a good spot in Germany). So, the challenge is that if this politician who is the head of his state is able to find an energy provider who will buy a nuclear plant without subsidies AND the legal assurance that in case of a nuclear accident the government is liable for all damages AND he finds a place where the nuclear waste will be stored in Germany (this includes the population not rebelling against the storage) IF he gets to do that this artist will go on tour with a program that only ridicules the Green Party.
Edit: more and more people are joining this challenge and offering stuff if this politician achieves those things. Fun fact, he won’t.
