Howie Mandel apologizes for ambushing Bill Burr and Billy Corgan: ‘I feel horrible’

   > The America’s Got Talent judge was referring to the Jan. 21 episode of his podcast, on which Mandel surprised Burr with a second guest: Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins. Corgan had explained on Mandel’s show in November that his stepmother told him a decade ago that Burr “might be one of the children that your father sired in his days being a traveling musician.”

2. Ok, someone explain if this was actually a big joke that they were all in on for show, or if that was legitimately Burr being pissed off at the whole thing.

9. So my understanding is that from Burr’s perspective he thought he was just going on a normal episode and gets surprised with Billy Corgan and the news that they might be half siblings- but there’s no concrete evidence to back that claim up other than hearsay from Corgan’s dad?

   I mean…yeah, I’d be pretty pissed too.

27. Bill Burr is legit pissed. He didn’t find it funny. Comedians kryptonite is being the butt of a joke. That said. If there was no truth there, Burr would have let it go and addressed it head on. He didn’t and refuses to talk about it so…

28. So funny that Howie Mandel and Ethan Klein have become close and now they both have the privilege of saying that they both totally biffed their interviews with Bill Burr.

32. I thought this was fake based on the headlines, but that video is pretty awkward. Burr is a good actor, but this doesn’t seem like a bit.

34. The look on Bill’s face wasn’t even comfortable to watch. The look of betrayal/resentment at the gaul howie had was palpable.

35. I didn’t realize that Howie was considered a real comedian. I always saw him as just another slightly amusing/irritating neurotic screen filler. Like he’s his generation’s Paul Lynde.

36. I’ve read through the article and this thread and I am still very confused about what Bill or the commenters here are upset about. Sounds like an awkward bit from Howie that didn’t really work and then Bill doing his typical podcast behavior when he’s unimpressed with the host. How is this really a story lol
