  2. Even if this happens (which it won’t with the current house/senate), it won’t do anything. Too much money being exchanged paired with spineless politicians. 

  5. The comments make me a bit ill. This is the type of thing that people have been screaming for. Democrats – “Do something!” and when something serious is done, even if it will not pass, it’s met with dismissal.

  7. Congressmen propose bills left and right (i.e. amending the Constitution to give Trump a third term) that will never make it past committee review, much less a vote. This is one of those performative bills.

He is trying to steal their power, the thing they want most, Trump is stripping them of their ability to check and balance the President.   15. This is the process to remove a tyrant so props, but congressional support for this is a lost cause UNLESS the people leave them no choice but to impeach and convict. We need republicans in on the effort. That’s what makes it feel impossible. A major shift in attitude towards Trump is what would be needed to make this happen. Also, for all the people who were too apathetic to bother voting, if you are following this administration and are upset, now is your second chance to be heard.

    Shortly after, fellow high-ranking Democrat Aguilar dismissed the action, saying, “It’s not a focus of the caucus.” This further proves the Democrats are in complete disarray.

  24. A fine gesture. That’s all it is, though. A gesture.

    The Democratic party would be wise to focus ENTIRELY on economic initiatives that speak to the working class. Push an agenda centered on alleviating pain at the store shelf or other vital everyday aspects of American life.

    Keep it all focused on the economy and how they can be better than Trump and his cronies. Stop falling into these pit traps on issues that will absolutely not win you votes at the voting booth you don’t already have locked up based on ideological tribalism.

  25. Here’s the thing. We can’t stop at just him. He’s a puppet. Everyone set to take office after him is smarter, more conniving, and evil as he is.

    Glad the Dems are finally doing something, but the whole house is infested. We have to be prepared to dig deep and hold everyone (elected officials or not) accountable.

  31. As much as I would love to see Trump get removed from the Oval Office, I think that we all know by now that nothing will come of it and it will only be a waste of time. Besides, we would then have JD Vance running the show. Pick your poison.

    I am concerned that actions like this will desensitize the American public against legitimate impeachment efforts and create a boy who cried wolf situation. I hope and pray that the Democrats can mount a successful opposition to Trump and his actions. Actions like this which are nothing more than political grandstanding (otherwise, similar articles would have been introduced against Biden), make it harder to do so.
