I’m not sure how major media outlets can publish articles on salary statistics with no mention of inflation. Totally meaningless.
Some additional information from the article :
Salaries from blue collar workers went up 2,2% (mostly because they were not indexed yet). Salaries from white collar workers went up 7%.
On average an white collar worker makes 3.757 euros gross and a blue collar worker makes 2.480 euros gross (without bonuses, 13th month etc.) in January 2022. With bonuses it’s obviously higher.

I don’t find the median for 2021, but found the following data for 2019 (including regular bonuses) : 3.486 euro gross https://statbel.fgov.be/nl/themas/werk-opleiding/lonen-en-arbeidskosten/gemiddelde-bruto-maandlonen#news
‘went up’ 5,5% , when inflation is like 8%. So we all became 3% less wealthy.
And this isn’t even taking in consideration thé upcoming price increases for food in several months: €5/bread
