The Orbanisation of America: Hungary’s lessons for Donald Trump

1. Submission statement: Written before the US presidential election, this article describes how a potential second Trump administration could transform the American government apparatus using Orban’s methods as a template. It shows the many parallels between  the changes that happened in Hungary since 2010 and the then known Republican plans (e.g. Project 2025), and how the lessons learned by the former might influence the latter. In light of recent developments I thought it could inform us about the possible developments to come, not only about US domestic politics, but also about the geopolitical implications.

2. Thankfully arent the elections still credible? They are done by the states. Not the trumo controlled executive after all.

   That seems to be the one saving grace if everything else fails

3. Atleast, we can bet on Trump being dumber than Orban, I guess….
