Hi people,

I'm looking for a similar medication to Alka-Seltzer Hangover Relief, which has Aspirin 500 mg and Caffeine 65 mg.

Is there any medication in Germany which combines these two or do I need to buy them separately?

I don't like drinking coffee while hangover so taking caffeine through pills is the best alternative for me.

  5. Aspirin is Not to recommend After Alkohol behause of blood thining.
    Maybe try thomapyrin duo (Ibuprofen and coffein)
    Or if you want Aspirin thomapyrin normal. (Coffein, Aspirin, Ibuprofen)

  6. Regular aspirin should have it. Most of these headache and pain relief meds are paired with caffeine.

  9. I’m not a doctor so I can’t give you medical advice. But according to my knowledge, pain medications like aspirin and paracetamol are not recommended as hangover treatments at all. Alcohol irritates the stomach mucosa and strains the liver. If you take aspirin, it also irritates the stomach mucosa (can cause bleedings in very severe cases) and paracetamol strains the liver further. Plus, pain medication slows down the alcohol degradation in the body thus prolonging the hangover. If you absolutely have to take something against headache, wait till the next morning and take ibuprofen. But it’s best if you don’t.

    If you want to do something against a hangover, drink enough water and make sure you consume some electrolytes. There are some electrolyte mixes you usually take if you have severe diarrhea, you can try that. Or you eat some sweet and salty things.
