An earlier version of the Wild Hornets STING drone – designed to down ruzzian Shahed drones – flew at 325 km/h in September. [https://x.com/ArmedMaidan/status/1836498652891877554](https://x.com/ArmedMaidan/status/1836498652891877554)
It would be nice if we could stick one of these up Putin’s ass!
It feels a bit like the wild days of aircraft development in the 1930s, where everything goes and a few guys in a workshed could shoot for the moon.
Attach guided rockets and reuse the drone a bunch of times.
Not sure what you mean by ‘combat drone’ exactly, because there are operational combat drones e.g. the Boeing MQ-25 Stingray that can fly at 900+ km/h. The workhorse MQ-9 has a top speed approx 480 km/h. If we’re talking about it has to be using rotors then maybe the Wild Hornet is fastest in that class and likely is highly energy efficient compared with the drones I mentioned.
By this time next year, we might see drones capable of breaking the sound barrier
Lovely.

I am an armchair cryptographer…that filter they seem to be putting over the digits seems to only have a handful of states. I think it wouldn’t actually be hard to determine what the numbers are. If that is actually secret information, don’t screw around with some blur filter that can be reversed.
Damn, that thing is insane! Cool as hell.
