Russia moves some troops for exercises closer to western border Ukrainian “intelligence”: OMG Russia is about to attack us, the attack is imminent!!!
Russia doesn’t move any troops anywhere – Ukrainian “intelligence”: OMG Russia is attacking us with psychological warfare!!!
Because if they confirmed the Russians might get intel on how intelligence is gathered by the Ukrainians.
Anyone care to venture a realpolitik-based opinion on what the end result will be in Ukraine? Frozen conflict? Reconciliation but with the separatist regions under Kiev control? Reconciliation but with return of self-government within separatist regions? I’ve excluded annexation of separatist regions by Russia because I guess that’d mean war rather than diplomacy.
