  1. it’s good, but it’s probably made in China anyways

  2. That’s the only action possible to get the US back on track, hit them were it makes pain for them – Amazon, Facebook, Meta, Instagram, Twitter, Tesla, Starlink, you name it. The Nazis world wide are boosted by their election meddling tools.

You have the choice, take it!

  3. As always, competition and choice is key. In every sector, every government and personal choice.

Brazil, UK, Germany have issues with X interfering in politics. Here in Australia we tried to get FB to pay for reproducing articles from our news companies, FB responded by banning our news.

These huge companies can stymie competition, buy out competitors, lobby policy makers to entrench their positions, they have way, way too much power and no competition at all.

Government won’t make moves against them unless voters see the problem is worse than losing their daily meme fix, but sadly not sure if that’s going to happen.

These companies are manipulative in the worst ways. Competition is similar to democracy, it’s about choice. Monopolies are the antithesis of that. Gigantic, world-spanning monopolies are dystopian by definition.

People get very vocal about “new world order” and “deep state” stuff by government, but somehow don’t see monopolistic, megalomaniac companies that want to rule the world the same way.

  4. For anyone outside of Canada wondering, this is probably moreso about Amazon recently closing like all of their warehouses in Quebec in response to one of them unionizing than it is about Amazon being American. Although the latter is probably a small part of it as well

  5. This isn’t because of the US’s recent actions, Amazon got a union or something here and once it was approved corporate pulled from Quebec.

  6. If i offer my skills and intelligence to Canadian scientific institutes can i get some refuge in Montreal? 🥲

  7. Love this we too are cancelling Amazon and Netflix gonna go over to Pluto and tubi. Crave is Canadian as well. Plus this two big ones produce shit anyways. Back to reading wonderful books

  8. Montreal is really doing the right thing here.its awesome to see a city that values its local businesses over giant corporations.when we support our own, we’re building a stronger, more caring community.big companies like Amazon might have all the money, but community support beats profit any day. Hope more cities take notice and follow suit!
