Really Sucks

  1. I desperately needed to hear that. The cold is bad enough but leaving for work when it’s dark and returning when it’s dark is just miserable

  2. It means so much to me to be able to take the dogs for a walk after work and it not be dark, just getting to that point now…

  3. If you like that then you will love that in 90 days sun will start setting at 9pm

  4. Nooo- I liked walking out of college and seeing the stars start to appear 🙁

  5. It’s was still (only just) daylight when I got home yesterday. I can feel my energy coming back already.

  6. My bus was 10 minutes late yesterday, got to the office at 7.20 and it was daylight…

  7. I noticed this change on the 22nd of December. That’s how much I crave daylight.

  8. Pure propaganda! The sun will set at 6pm in regular time accounting, but the Darlek are going to manipulate time and space again to steal an hour of your life energy to fuel their dark plans.

The Ministry of Defense estimates that defeating them and restoring public order and regular time updates might take until autumn. The press officer mentioned that the delays are caused by supply issues with the specialised telephone booths used to deploy their troops.

And yet another act of sabotage that BT will have to be held responsible for.

  9. I have been counting down the days since winter solstice.

  10. That day in October when the clocks go back and it’s suddenly dark at 4pm is the worst. I actually dreaded it this time round. I don’t know if I can stand another winter in this country.

  11. This is why I love February. Winter is almost over and all the good stuff is in front of us.

  12. That made my wife smile, she can’t wait for longer days again. More sunshine.

  13. YEEEEAAAAH!
Hey wait a second, no it won’t. In 35 days the sun is going to set at around 6:15.

  14. I’m much more down with the dark half myself. I get depressed at the sight of daffodils and the clocks going forward. Give me seven or eight daylight hours, stews, fires and an icy wind whistling round the gable-end over a hot sunny day, salads, cider & school holidays any day. Here’s to a grey summer, <24°c max and plenty of rain.

  15. Here’s a thing I don’t understand. We put the clocks back around 52 ish days before the shortest day, but then we don’t put them forward until nearly 100 days after. Why???

  16. In 11 month it will be Christmas, let that sink in

  17. My dad told me the sun never sets on the British Empire, and he was ALWAYS right!

  18. I most definitely needed to hear that!!

I suffer from SAD and at the end of March, when I am in the UK, I am always looking forward to seeing both 7 o’clocks have daylight
