The kids are not alright
This country has some serious issues.
Fk me. 11?!
Longsight? I struggle to contain my surprise.
If that boy at 11 does this, than I don’t want to imagine his future
Stuff like this makes me scared for my nephews to grow up in this world. My eldest nephew was threatened with a knife in the bus station a couple of months ago, for a £100 watch.
Where does the influence come from?
My guess is one of them is that London drill crap music.
Note: I said one of the influences…not all
Fuckin stroll on.
We need to go back.
Mental, my best mate has a little lad who’s 11. In my head he’s still the tiny kid I’ve watched grow up over the years and begs me to play fifa with him when I visit for a chance to stay up past bedtime.
It’s so hard to think of how different his childhood would have needed to be that he would be out doing this kind of thing at his age. It’s almost beyond comprehension.
I guess at that point these kids aren’t getting a “childhood” in any sense. They either have parents who are just as deeply involved in this shit as they are or just no parental figures at all.
Parents should also be investigated for neglect and child abuse.
The vast majority of children who are actually being taken care of by their parents aren’t out stabbing other children. There will always be that rogue kid where no amount of intervention will stop or prevent this but for many it starts at home.
– What boundaries are being taught?
– What morals are being instilled?
– What care is actually being given?
– What were the parents doing to keep their kid off the streets?
– What signs were ignored?
– What help was asked for?
– Who was influencing their child that they didn’t protect them from?
– What involvement/awareness did school have? Was the kid even going to school? What safeguarding issues were raised?
Parents should be parenting, but now instead the judicial system will be the parent
Poverty is not to blame for this, I and plenty of others grew up in poverty and never once were we out stabbing folk.
Something is not right in that home or in current society.
Thirty odd years ago I was in middle school (under the old structure in Norfolk), so about ten years old. There was one known troublemaker in our class who was late getting in one day, and we were all taking bets about whether he’d turn up with an arm in a sling.
He turned up with an arm in a sling. Knife incident.
That was thirty years ago. In Norfolk. Those ten year olds are now parents.
Crappy parents raise crappy kids, crappy kids grow up to become crappy adults, crappy adults fuck and become crappy parents, lather rinse repeat. Nothing has changed. It’s generational and it’s upbringing.
I’m scared that I’ll be attacked by one of these kids, defend myself and get vilified.
“Why did you punch a 10yr old in the face as a grown man? Just take the knife off him.” Etc etc
What’s wrong with Fifa?
Now the age has been revealed, the blame game will start.
As a parent I worry each time the kids leave the safety of the house, unfortunately we seem to be in a world were extreme violence is no longer a fantasy, but a daily fact.
They were targeted? Did they nick his lunch money?
