Swedish Electricians union warn of new sympathy measures against Tesla

  1. About time. Sadly a lot of the right with the fanatics in Timbro does everything they can do erode the system and fight the unions and try remove as much as they can of workers right. 

  2. Just to get ahead of a lot of comments that claim tesla is already offering better working conditions so there “is no need to sign collective bargaining and it would make things worse for the workers”, that always pop up in regards to the ongoing strike.

    In Sweden there is nothing stopping a company (say tesla) from still offering better conditions and pay than what is agreed upon by collective bargaining. Collective bargaining means they cant offer less than agreed upon, and that they agree to a bunch other work security and conditions such as:

    * minimum Sickpay and sick leave in accordance with Swedish standard.
    * minimum Parental leave days and benefits beyond the legal minimum.
    * service pension.
    * notice period for when you quit/get fired.
    * conversion agreement.
    * minimum vacation days.
    * minimum pay ceiling.
    * collective bargaining for minimum yearly pay raise for all workers (even those on the workplace that arent part of the union.)

    None of these conditions are radical or controversial in Sweden. Its how its works over here.

  8. I wonder if this is related to, because it recently came up that the Electricians union noticed that there had been work done on Tesla charging stations in Sweden that could not have been done by licensed electricians, and that’s illegal.
