  1. Dont know if I be smiling for the cameras facing the possibility of decades in prison. “Mr Float appeared to be in good spirits, and was photographed laughing alongside other detainees during the press conference. Mr Collyer also appeared to grin at the camera”

  3. Absolute lunatics, why would you smuggle into such countries? Obviously money but wouldn’t you rather get a nice cushty prison and 50% time served?

  7. As an Australian we went through this with the Bali Nine….

    5 of the 9 were only released last December after being arrested in 2005. They were some of the lucky ones.

    Knowing this… why would you do this? It’s such a high profile case any cursory google search would’ve shown them what happens to Commonwealth foreigners caught smuggling drugs into Bali!

    Guess they thought they were too smart.

  20. Even if they don’t end up in front of a firing squad they are going to be spending a lot of time in some incredibly harsh and unpleasant prisons. What absolute idiots – they’ve just thrown their lives away.
