  1. > “@jeffrabhan wanna match me $25k to donate to struggling dropped artists?,” she wrote on her Instagram story, tagging the writer. She gave her publicist’s Instagram and wrote, “wanna talk?”

    > “Will keep everyone updated on the much awaited response!!,” she continued. “And I will show receipts of the donations <3. Mr. Rabhan I love how in the article you said ‘put your money where your mouth it.’ Genius!!! Let’s link and build together and see if you can do the same.”

  2. I admire her. She refuses to be pushed around. I just hope the music industry doesnt screw her for it.

Edit: all of you are miserable haters. go outside and find some happiness

  3. She couldn’t pay that girl for her nails though, Writer should go back to her and tell her that her “press coverage greatly outweighs any monetary donations”

  4. OK cool, how’s the nail situation going? I’m absolutely down to praise the good things she does, but she’s been sandwiching PR disasters in between them all.

  5. Greatly admire her refusal to roll over to bad faith criticism, but I think she’s vastly overestimating the salaries of journalists if she thinks there’s any writers who would be capable of dropping $25,000 at short notice. She’s likely worth a few million at least at this point, and whilst it’s obviously still money that could do a lot of good, it’s a drop in the bucket for her and not at all comparable to your average reporter.

  6. Pretty lame to “challenge” someone who makes way less money than you to be a philanthropist 😒 girl is tone deaf

  7. This is a terrible flex. Writers don’t make what pop stars make.

  8. I’m not sure it’s the best solution. Relying on a label for something as essential as health insurance could create a power imbalance, making artists feel obligated to stay in contracts that aren’t in their best interest. Independent artists, who aren’t signed to labels at all, would be at a huge disadvantage, and since label contracts are often short-term or project-based, musicians could lose their coverage if their contract ends or they get dropped. Plus, smaller or independent labels might not have the resources to provide health coverage, creating a disparity between big-label artists and everyone else. It feels like this approach could create more problems than it solves.

  9. i will never not be on chappell roan’s side in any fight she has

i will forever give her the benefit of the doubt

i do not give a shit about losers writing “um, actually” articles using her name to chase clout

haters who never liked her music anyway and were never a fan of her dont matter

  10. Thank you for standing up for the marginalized people of America and Gaza Chappell, the rest of Hollywood should take notes

  11. Music is like any other creative career, you aren’t guaranteed money unless you teach. I love to write but don’t expect any handouts to make it my full time career, she also seems kind of delusional in general.

  12. This response is tone-deaf. Asking an underpaid journalist criticizing you to match a $25k donation is absurd. I have a friend who is a journalist. That’s her yearly salary. If you want to support struggling artists, that’s great – donate and share it if you feel you must.

But using your wealth as a weapon to clap back at a critic is unnecessary and ridiculous. This comes across as petty and out of touch.

  13. Chappell has bigger balls than most of the industry and we need more artists like her.

  14. Remember when Chappell Roan encouraged voters to basically avoid voting for Kamala Harris? She’s a bad person.

  15. She could’ve been a positive influence on the election but chose to do a “both sides” instead. The dunce cap is fitting.

  16. All of her takes are just so half baked and lack critical thought beyond sounding good on the surface level to stans and 15 year olds.

  17. IDC how some of y’all take this, but she’s a fake ass two faced bitch. You ain’t gotta even dig for shit, I don’t listen to her music, but just off the statements she’s given, she’s a fake ass reaching for pats on the back fake sympathy coke head.

  18. She makes me fantasize that someone will hand me cash for the 20 years of effort I put into the music industry. I didn’t make it – I don’t expect jack

  19. Yup, most working Americans have an extra $25k they can just burn on charity. That’s almost as out of touch as not compensating a nail technician for their labor.

  20. Getting revenge for not receiving the Oscar for her work in Barry Lyndon.

  21. You know what, I’m indifferent about this person but the more I see or read about her, the more she annoys me.

  22. I’m sorry but how does $25k do anything for struggling musicians in a country of 330 million people? Sounds like she’s doing nothing but throwing out chump change and making it seem like she did something.

She also defended her transphobic politician family member and it took the Grammys for her to say trans people matter. She’s a fucking joke.
