“enjoy your retirement” yes, yes i think i will.
Should have been given a medal, not dragged through the courts
Why is someone with over 40 convictions allowed out on the streets? If he was locked away, this wouldn’t have happened.
That headline has done the officer dirty.
A joke that even went to court
How long did this take to go to court????
It’s an open and shut case… should have taken 5 mins.
“Why does nobody want to be a police officer anymore”
Everybody saying the police officer did right; no he didn’t. Getting a middle finger stuck up at you doesn’t give you the right to run over a cyclist.
Anyone else doing the same thing would’ve gone to jail, there’s no exception for police, infact they should be held to higher standards.
On balance it’s correct that if the police cause an injury that it can come to court. That seems like the right thing to do. Everything out in the open, nobody above the law, even the law itself. This is the sort of thing that makes the UK police different from the US police. Of course I also think it’s correct that it only took 20 minutes to find him not guilty. Hard to understand how someone can have 40 previous convictions at such a young age and still be free to commit crimes.
I fully support what the police officer did here.
Oh and before anyone starts, I have a child and would feel the same if it was them
I see the Telegraph doesn’t know the difference between an ebike and a motorbike.
He was riding an electric dirt bike, which is not road legal.
Hero stops scum, is put through the court for stopping scum. Ridiculous.
Promote that officer. The little cunt deserved it.
Poor little Dindunuffin McCheekychappie.
We need more of this. Hopefully we can recruit more officers like him
That boys ears are LOW!
If anyone else was confused from having just watched the video, this was a pursuit in progress. The video makes it look like the kid comes around a corner and then the officer just speeds up and rams him.
