  3. It should be noted that Congress approved the program and allocated the funding in the *Bipartisan* Infrastructure Law. Trump cannot legally withhold the funds. This will just cause chaos and delays and trigger dozens of lawsuits by the states that could take months or years to resolve. Where is the “Department of Government Efficiency”, or the DOGE-bags when you need them?

    Trump (or someone in his orbit) got paid by lobbyists to attack the move to electric and so he’s attacking the move to electric.

    It’s a transactional relationship wherein rich people who want to protect their golden egg laying goose give a fraction of the money they’ll make from golden eggs to corrupt politicians like Trump to kill public policies that help everyone except the rich assholes who just want their goose to keep laying golden eggs.

  5. Automakers will plow ahead. They are poised to lead the future of the gas station across the US, with electric at the core. It’s already underway.

  13. He did not stop the states from funding and building it he only took away the Federal money to build it. If market demand for charge points are high private sector will step in to make them and the money.
