Good hunting/Bonne chasse!
Should be noted that these are specifically mirage 2000-5F planes. They have upgraded [digital cockpit displays](https://imgproc.airliners.net/photos/airliners/7/5/3/0397357.jpg?v=v40) and upgraded radar.
Are these any good?
When??
I wonder how these compare to soviet era 4th gen fighters, e.g., Mig-29, SU-27.
(edit) A quick scan of the chatter indicates the Mig-29 is the better air superiority fighter but that Mirage 2000 (-5) is the better multirole plane. No doubt it comes down to specific avionics and weapons systems. Given that dogfighting is pretty much obsolete, it looks to me like advantage Mirage.
I wonder if there’s significance in these being flown directly into ukraine. This would not have been allowed 1 or 2 years ago, as far as the public is aware, I think. For a miriad of reasons, jets were transported in by rail and truck, often in unassembled states.
Are those dildos of consequence?
French drop tanks have such a odd shape eh?
Fantastic. I may be too American Pilled about air power but we need to be seriously improving Ukraine’s air forces. Not just defending themselves but being able to mount serious air offensives that would cut through Russian trenches and allow Ukrainian ground forces to move forward.
They have always looked quite fearsome.
