What does it taste like?
And why marmite? Is it very strong, or just splits opinions?
Where did you get it? I have a Bulgarian friend who says it is a very popular spread in Bulgaria and is always looking for some. I have never actually had the chance to try, I always imagine it tasting a bit like soap…
Better not!!My taste buds are going to explode 😫
I have to get some of this. I love anything that’s flavoured with rose or violet.
There’s a rose syrup that I like to mix with a little milk and it’s delicious, quite sweet though. Haven’t seen this around but it looks interesting.
Can’t beat perfume on toast.
No thankyou.
Get. Tae. Fook.
Is it anything like Turkish delight??
Just reading the name made me throw up in my mouth. Flower flavoured things are an abomination.
But I 100% respect your love for it. Everyone has different tastes and that’s entirely valid.
I love rose flavoured stuff so I’ll keep an eye out for this. Is it like Turkish delight jam?
FYI do NOT google rose petal spread at work!
I imagine it’s like Turkish Delight jam? Am I close?
Look out for Ahmed foods, they’ve some great lines. They do a chilli and tamarind (imli) sauce that’s like a supercharged HP, and an amazing green chilli and mint one too.
Sold, off to grab some, this sounds amazing.
I want to try it but not enough to commit to a full jar…
Bork. Rose should never be a flavour to eat
Did you pick that up from Mr Ahmed’s little shop near Micky Flanagan’s gaff?
Rose petal ice cream is pretty delicious too. Used to get one at an Indian supermarket near me…
Rose jam is beautiful on toast
so basically turkish delight spread? sounds excellent if so
Ahmed do a really good range of vegetarian jelly. Just don’t google the E-numbers.
Rose jam is really good in rice pudding too, FYI
You sound like someone who would betray Lion Jesus.
I hate things that taste like perfume! Earl Grey tea – violet flavour sweets – traditional Turkish Delight – this sounds like it would be awful for me!
If you like this, go grab some Rooh Afza (a drink), it’s amazing, with milk or water or anything. Don’t use too much though.
