I can’t read the article, but if the headline is in anyway accurate this is fucked.
The western world is now at the mercy of rapist crook and his billionaire lackies. Well done us, well done.
It’ll be foolish for anyone to play this game with Trump. Today he demands tax cuts for Silicon Valley billionaires, next month he demands our NHS to purchase from American pharmas, the month after that he demands us to purchase more arms from them, and every single time he dangles the tariff threat in front of us.
Call his bluff and stand up against him.
God, I hope this doesn’t happen. I’d rather we have the tariffs. And definitely do not let him meet the Royal family like he wants to do much. We need that tax from them long term.

**Note:** I use that reference because Trump in the past proclaimed on X that he saw Thanos as a role model and the idea of wiping out half of life the universe at a click of his fingers would be amazing. That and he had his people mock up a video of him morphing into Thanos and executing a politician.

Just block meta and X and whack the taxes on Amazon up so high that they offset the effect of the tariffs. Tariffs are bad for everyone and if America wants to go there we should just accept it and wait for them to work this out.

Musk, Zuckerberg and Bezos derive their power from customers. They’ve shown who they are. If you don’t agree, stop buying their products and services today. Personally I’ve found positives in there.
It’s not helpful for individuals to have so much unelected power.
The US have voted Trump in twice now. It’s not a blip. We, unfortunately, need to reconsider our relationship there too if we don’t agree with that kind of politics.
It’s not great but it’s not (yet) in a situation where people can’t make a difference.
We should play hardball with Trump. We need EU more than the USA and the USA need the world more than they realise.
