‘Eye-watering number’ wait for Cornwall hospital treatment

  1. Chronic underfunding of the NHS by the Tories. But as long as they give their Oligarch bosses time to move their billions around, that’s OK. Nothing to see here.

  2. Well, it doesn’t help that there are currently over 200 people in Treliske Hospital (7 wards worth) who are fit to be discharged home, but can’t safely do so and are therefor taking up beds – because the care homes lack the staff to provide adequate care.

I mean, who could have thought that sacking 40k care staff back in November would have led to situations like this?

No worries though, on the 15th of March the rules change back and we will beg all the staff who got thrown under the bus *because the country was listening to political science and not medical science* to come back to work so that we can unlog the system of this situation.

  3. I see the “diversity and inclusion” officers the NHS hires on a £90K salary are doing their jobs well.

  4. Cornish hospitals have always been drastically underfunded. During the tourist season Cornwalls population doubles and there has never been the funding to account for this.
