Why do the people who claim the media is biased on here never mention it?
It’s an easy fix just get the previous minster for housing Darragh o Brien who can’t tell you the truth about how many houses where built in 2024 to count the busses I’m sure there are 40k busses somewhere .
I don’t say this lightly but Ghost Buses are really damaging to mental health. There’s nothing that will fuck you off for the day after a phantom bus pretends it’s coming for ages, the time fafs around for a while and then just disappears.
Google Maps is now the best service for buses as it gives you the location of the bus. If you don’t see the little bus moving then it’s like a ghost bus.
I know Google have location data that helps but I was in Split a couple of years ago and they have a similar system, where you can see where the bus physically is.
The ghost buses will soon be a thing of the past as the NTA have put in a new tracking system into the buses
At least in the article the Journal admits it’s just fueling the people who are premantly outraged
As the tender for the new system on the buses and the announcement of it was made ages ago I wonder why they dont mention it
I’m glad Kinsella got to survive the Joe.ie shitstorm and has this column in the journal. We’ve had a dearth of sardonic toned journalism, particularly political journalism.
I can see it now, Simon Harris is slimer. Michael Martin is the Stay Puff Marshmallow Man. Danny and Michael Healy Ray are the two at the start of Ghostbusters two in the court room scene, and Michael Lowry is Vigo the Carpathian,. It all makes sense now.
I thought it was Halloween 365 days in ireland
Guess old people and homeowners just really like when the government can’t handle the most basic of things.
There’s ghost trains too that appear on the Irish Rail app and TFI app on the DART line. In fairness, they’re easy to spot on the Irish Rail app as they are the only ones that are not late (as every single real DART service is always at least a few minutes late). The station boards don’t show the ghost DARTs, so there’s obviously a more accurate tracking service that Irish Rail have internally which could be used to solve this problem.
