Before being shuttered, LendUP was rife with fraud and exploited everyday Americans through predatory lending practices, and other lawbreaking. Similarly, Musk opposes the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) because he routinely engages in securities fraud.

Marc Andreessen and Elon Musk are corrupt oligarchs. The new head of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) is Scott Kupor who worked with Andreessen at the venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz. Trump rubber-stamped Kupor as OPM chief at Musk’s request. Kupor and Musk are longtime associates.

    DOGE was supposed to be an ultra-transparent cost cutting marvel. Turns out, it’s just Musk and his cronies like Peter Thiel and Marc Andreessen raiding the U.S. Treasury, exploiting America’s private data, and gutting federal regulations that have prevented the American oligarchy from stealing from hard-working everyday Americans.

    Trump and his new cabal are crushing everyday Americans and enriching the American oligarchy.

    Other programs are going to be more difficult to destroy, because each has a constituency of people it has helped within this country.

    Many may sneer about projects that “haven’t done anything for them,” but lots of people will defend programs they understand better because they’ve been helped by them.

  9. Rich dudes literally crashed the economy on purpose for short term profit in 2008, and then we bailed them out by giving them money, and we did not give ourselves the victims any money, then elizabeth warren creates the c f p b and republicans attack it and now want to remove it.

    I honestly think that trump voters think that someone else is gonna make their life better, and they think that somehow the federal government is the only problem in their life, but at the same time, these people can’t explain exactly what the federal government does and then they come up with a couple of small programs spending a couple million dollars in a seemingly weird way and then say they want to ruin the entire department because of it.

  31. Musk has daddy issues. So do all the extreme MAGAs. Some of the MAGA-lite crowd are starting to wake up, but the extremists aren’t driven by logic or policy—they’re driven by deep-seated psychological trauma that has nothing to do with the present. My mother-in-law is a case study in this.

    Her biological father abandoned her before she was even born. Her stepfather was clinically insane—he eventually ended up in a psych ward alongside his two sisters. Her mother, I’m convinced, is a narcissistic sociopath. With a childhood like that, she had no choice but to become a survivor, which also meant becoming a terrible person.

    In public, she’s hyper-guarded, always acting as if the world is judging her. In private, she sleeps with clenched fists, waking at the slightest sound. I suspect her stepfather abused her—she’ll never admit it, but I’ve overheard him making unsettling comments about her appearance. The rage and pain she’s buried for decades spill out onto her children—my wife and her siblings. Undoing that damage has taken years of therapy, and we’re still unraveling it.

    And then along comes a white “strong savior” (oh, did I mention she’s also deeply racist? She wouldn’t even let her kids watch Black TV shows). To her, Trump isn’t about politics—he’s a wrathful hand of justice, ready to burn the world down in vengeance. That’s what she and the extreme MAGAs crave: destruction, not policy; fire, not reform. They don’t want to fix America—they want it to suffer like they have.
