Funny how you never see these fines being issued on the streets where the majority of littering actually happens, except for people dropping cigarette butts (which by no means any more acceptable). And don’t even dare to wish that the patrols would be out in the weekend evenings.

A life long Rubgy player I’m well used to picking up after a game and sweeping the changing rooms post match. Just assumed that’s what all teams do.
Last year I helped coach my daughter u13 football team and I im shocked at the state of pitches when we get there and it’s worse afterwards. 15mins picking up plastic bottle shards made sharp by grass cutting. Afterwards It’s one thing asking the kids to pick up their drinks/litter but their parents are twice as bad.
Law needs rewriting citizens arrest free shot at the nuts as standard for litterers and I’m thinking maybe death for flytippers.
