Recent theory of mine is that the 155th Mech is actually not deserted/ineffective but that this was a ruse prior to deploying them in force to Pokrovsk.

If this succeeds, Ukraine will be able to breathe probably its biggest sigh of relief since Russia withdrew from Kyiv. If it fails, Syrski is fucking done.

Looks like Russia has been losing hundreds of men a day just to fight themselves into a huge trap. Now they are totally exhausted and stuck in a pocket with threats to supply chains and no defensible positions. Their artillery is getting smashed and UA are finally learning how to counter those fkn glide bombs so the Ru infantry ain’t gonna get much support. They can either retreat or die or both.

Andrew Perpetua made a good point in a video he released yesterday. He said there’s a large number of Russian soldiers in that pocket since its the main area of assault.
Cutting off that pocket, or at least straining its logistics, is incredibly dangerous for the Russians and forces their offensive strength into a defensive position
