Update: Made my flight today in the morning. This is the queue right now at the airport. The person who sent me this asked me to say fuck you to Dublin Airport again, and fuck you to everyone who commented ‘it’s your responsibility to come 3h earlier’ under the original post. 1. I had to contend with this over the mid term just gone but jesus why is it like that now? Is that the new norm for T1?

   Fast track is worth it in those circumstances. You can run to the machine beside it any buy it. The sign says “from 12.99” but it depends on the time of day. It can be down to 7.99 even when its jammed like that in the afternoon.

6. Have experienced worse in airports all around Europe and the US, it ain’t just an Irish think. I’ve also been in much kippier airports too.

11. I’ve been to many airports and it seems like airport personnel overall are slow,lazy, borderline retarded. I get a feeling they couldn’t possibly work anywhere else where there would actually need to provide a service.

    What’s even worse is many have this authoritarian attitude, like they’re the police and can make your life miserable.

    COVID hysteria made an already terrible ordeal of air travel even worse.

    Doesn’t everyone just check in on their phone and walk through security cos the prep in the line ?

15. Flew from Cork airport this month
    Arrived for a Ryanair flight 1 hour before the flight was scheduled to leave and was in the queue waiting for boarding with a few minutes to spare.

    God Cork airport is a delight.

19. You are not special. Turn up at the correct time. I do this even in tiny airports so it means I have to read for 2 hours but thats what you need to do.

20. Confused here. All my adult life I’ve seen mental queues here and understood the 2-3hrs thing as being all about that. Did things get better recently and then get worse again?

    Is it idiots unable to use the self scans?

21. Because of the two upcoming public holidays this week, most office based workers have taken 3 days off to get the entire week off. Just much higher demand than usual.
