  2. So many idiots out there who own guns but don’t know basic gun safety.  There’s absolutely no reason some jackass should have shot her.  

  6. Holy shit! That’s terrible. I read the article and it sounds like she’s on the mend and is even out of the hospital now. She’s lucky to still be alive and I’m shocked/grateful that she’s also healing so well. Especially since she was hit in five places!

    “I was hit in 5 places, one was less than an inch from hitting me directly in my right eye,” she continued. “Unfortunately a fragment got lodged behind my eye and it is too risky to remove surgically at this time. Doctors will continue to monitor me (I can see normally at the moment).”

  8. We really could have used a good guy clay-pigeon shooter to prevent this. I have it on good authority that “most” shootings end when the second guns shows up. Maybe they could have just started with 2? I’m just spitballing here.

  15. She took her husband to shoot clay pigeons as a present. Another shooter discharged their weapon in the wrong direction, hitting her near, but not in the eye. 

    It sounds like a location where there are many untrained people using firearms. Not a good place to be. It’s like the axe throwing places. I don’t want to be hurt by some moron three IPAs deep and breaking rules.

  27. Wouldn’t dream of going to any event involving numerous people and guns these days, attention spans are too short and discipline is nothing like it used to be.

    I’ve heard you can’t even attend a shooting range in the US anymore without getting muzzle swept by dangerous idiots who can’t even remember to keep guns pointed down range at all times.

  29. She JUST booked a new TV gig too, some cop show I think. I was happy for her, it brings me such joy when the child stars of our past get cast in adulthood.
